The second annual Mr. Ennis contest will take place on Friday July 26th in the Queens Nightclub Ennis. The prominent event raises money for charitable organisations in a very chic and contemporary manner.
The first ever Mr. Ennis contest took place on Saturday October 6th last year in The Grove Bar, Ennis and attracted more than 300 guests. The occasion featured 10 contestants and was eventually won by Mr. Mikie O’Loughlin. On the night, Hazel McMahon and Timmie Murphy were fundraising for the HIV unit in St. James Hospital, Dublin and their fundraising efforts were in conjunction with Timmie’s own efforts as Mr Gay Clare.
Due the extreme popular public demand the trendy Mr. Ennis Contest has now become an annual event. This year, the contest will once again showcase 10 contestants as they battle it out for the grand title of Mr. Ennis 2013. Gerry Lane, Ciaran Coote, Sean Hynan, Drew Parker, Kevin Lynch, Dylan Kelly, Francie O’Reilly, Ronan Devine and Tola Culliney will compete and will have to impress the judges on the night in the Queens Nightclub.
This year the money raised from the event will go the Laura Lynn Foundation and TLC4CF, two charities very close the hearts of the organisers. Sparks Hip Hop Dance School from Ennis will entertain the crowd by opening the show and once again the photographs will be taken by expert Ennis photographer Louise Brooks of Louise Brooks Photography.
The event is sure to be a roaring success and the night is all about the charities that are in need of the funds. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased on the night. See the Mr. Ennis Facebook page for more information www.facebook.com/mrenniscontest.
