I had the absolute privilege of being asked to attend the Clare Agricultural Show on Sunday July 6th in the Ennis Showgrounds, the style and weather on the day were absolutely super which made for an amazing atmosphere at the venue.
Former Miss Clare and Clare Rose Audrey Flynn, renowned local milliner Brid O’Driscoll and Willow Assistant Manager Naomi Devitt were on hand to the adjudicate the Best Dressed competitions on the day.
With an array of prizes and categories available the judges’ decision was far from straight forward so tough decisions had to be made by the lovely judges.
The winners of the Best Dressed Lady competitions were first place Rachael Hickey from Inch, second place went to Mai Devitt and third prize was awarded to Paula Williams.
There were also a number of Runner’s Up prizes on the day too and these prizes were presented to Katherine Kelly, Ashling Murphy, Lorna Cunningham, Marion Darcy, Ciara Cunningham and Mary Murphy.
On the day the men were not to be forgotten and Mr. Patsy Doohan was deemed to be the Most Appropriately Dressed Man by the experienced judging panel.
Style comes in all ages and sizes so there was a special award for the Best Dressed Little Ladies and these were given to Miss Scarlett Williams and Miss Kate Carroll.
The Best Dressed competition was generously sponsored by Jean McCabe of Willow in Ennis and the winner Rachael Hickey won a €300 for the store, a bespoke headpiece from Brid O’Driscoll Millinery and there were also some fantastic prizes and goodie bags from Rochford’s Pharmacy in Ennis.
The whole style event was expertly organised by Brid O’Driscoll of Brid O’Driscoll Millinery.
The ever so distinguished Bridget Haren of Altamoda Hair was also on hand to provide hairdressing assistance.
The whole day was hugely enjoyable and the sunshine and general ambiance made for a relaxing and enjoyable occasion.
