Trip to Museum of Style Icons in the Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre.

Last month I made to short trip to Newbridge in County Kildare to visit the Museum of Style Icons (MOSI) in the Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre.

The museum surpassed all of my expectations and was 10 times better than I ever expected!!

The museum had memorable pieces worn by style icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Princess Diana, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, The Beatles and Michael Jackson.

I am massive fan of Princess Diana and Audrey Hepburn so I was absolutely captivated by their outfits

I was especially enthralled by Diana’s “Revenge Dress” was has become so overtly infamous since she wore it after Prince Charles confessed to having an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

The silver armour style corset worn by Yasmin Le Bon was also on show, this piece was part of Newbridge Silverware’s most successful and noticeable ad campaigns.

It was so surreal to think that these dresses were actually worn by these style icons and seeing the detail and quality in the designer clothing was just mesmerising.

Newbridge Silverware just announced that it will house some of Madonna’s famous pieces in the museum until September 15th.

The exhibition includes the famous Marilyn Monroe inspired dress, fur stole and jewellery worn in Madonna’s “Material Girl” video and six of Madonna’s period clothing pieces from Evita.

Visiting MOSI is ABSOLUTELY free and is in close proximity to Whitewater Shoping Centre and just a short drive away from Kildare Village.
